BACKGROUND NOTE



This church was organized by a group of Norwegian settlers in 1881 and was located fifteen miles northeast of Broken Bow in Custer County, Nebraska.



SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE



This collection of records of the Round Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church of Broken Bow, Nebraska, consists of two volumes on one reel of microfilm. The records date from 1881-1942. The first volume contains minutes of the congregation from 1883 to 1922. The second volume, covering the years 1881-1942, consists of the ministerial records containing lists of baptisms, confirmations, marriages and burials.



Note:  This reel was obtained from the Archives of the American Lutheran Church in Dubuque, Iowa, in June of 1982. It is not available for Interlibrary Loan.
