BACKGROUND NOTE



The National Flying Farmers Association (NFFA) was formed in Oklahoma in 1945.  The purpose was to bring aviation-minded farmers together.  The Nebraska Chapter of the organization was established in 1946.  The NFFA is now known as the International Flying Farmers (IFF).  The goal of the IFF is to promote the practical use of airplanes in the agricultural industry.



SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE



This collection consists of one box and one reel of microfilm containing records of the Nebraska Flying Farmers and Ranchers.  The records include minutes of meetings, officers’ reports, calendars of events, newsletters, convention programs, etc.  The materials date from 1947-1987.  The first two volumes are available on microfilm only.
