BACKGROUND NOTE



Born May 23, 1896 in Omaha, Nebraska, Lois Robbins was the daughter of John and Isabel Robbins.  She married Leo Bozell in 1921 and the couple had three children, John, Leo Jr. and Patricia.  Leo Bozell died in 1946.  Lois died on October 3, 1979 in McLean, Virginia.  Leo and Lois are buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska.



SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE



The collection consists of one volume, a journal kept by Lois (Robbins) Bozell.  Entries in the journal relate to members of the Bozell family.  They often describe childhood milestones and discuss family events, holidays and travel.  Other topics include Lois’ wedding to Leo, outdoor recreation and domestic life.  The journal contains approximately 150 photographic prints of Bozell family members, mainly the Bozell children at various ages.
