BACKGROUND NOTE



Hal W. Bauer of Lincoln, Nebraska, served in the Nebraska Unicameral during the 1965 Session.  While in the Legislature, Sen. Bauer introduced LB797, a bill providing for a state income tax to be levied on individuals, trusts, corporations and estates.



SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE



The collection consists of one box containing correspondence and additional printed materials and legislative bills.  The collection relates to Sen. Bauer’s support for legislation providing for a state income tax in Nebraska.
