BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE



Frederick Blaine Humphrey was born in New York state in 1876, graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1900, and served in the Nebraska legislature in 1908 and 1909. He was for many years active in real estate, loans and insurance business. Humphrey moved with his wife in 1940 to Carmel, California, where he died in 1952.



SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE



The Frederick Blaine Humphrey collection is arranged in three series: 1) Writings; 2) “Corn Eaters Club of America,” and 3) Miscellaneous.  The material in the Frederick Blaine Humphrey collection relates primarily to state and national political and economic issues of the 1920s.
